Ashby Badgers play in the Staffordshire badgers Fathom every saturday in the season. A badgers team consists of 8 or 9 juniors and 2 or 3 adults, usually veterans. The juniors are between 9 and 14 years old.
The purpose of Badgers Hockey is to develop the juniors into good hockey players, with an emphasis on enjoyment. There is on-pitch coaching during games, delivered in a positive way.
Training for the Badgers is on Sunday mornings in the main coaching session, and supplementary sessions are arranged on Wednesday evenings.
