09 Feb 2011 : Ashby awarded ClubsFirst Accrediation
Ashby awarded ClubsFirst Accrediation

Good News- We have just received this notification from England Hockey:

"It is our great pleasure to inform you that, following an independent Nominated Officer visit and subsequent verification of your club assessment file, Ashby Mens Hockey Club (EH id: 2017) has been recognised as working towards providing a Safe, Effective and Child Friendly club environment, and as such has been awarded the England Hockey ClubsFirst Accreditation. The accreditation date is 09/02/11."

This is great news for the club.  It gives reassurance to new members that we are a well run club with a good focus on junior development, and allows us to apply for Government grants to support our development.

I would like to thank all those who helped achieve this award; the various members of the Committee, particularly Gaeme Hoad, Treasurer, and our Junior Coordinator, Dave Rushton, as well as Callum Slaney, Juniors Coach, Jayne Jennings-Edwards from Sunday Training, Gail Rushton, NWL Sports and Development Coordinator, and Jamie Fleet, local representative of England Hockey.

Well done everyone!

Welfare Officer
